Maritsa  Alger contributed to the field of education for a total of 36 years as a teacher, parent, executive director, appointed school board member, principal, assistant principal, and much more. She worked as a teacher for students with disabilities and as a teacher specialist for Norfolk Public Schools. Further, she received an Educational Leadership degree from Old Dominion University, a Master of Arts degree from Hampton University, and a Bachelor of Science from New York University.

As a former principal, coach, and proud Hampton City Schools educator, Coach Beverley has a proven track record of helping schools achieve full accreditation during his leadership. Now, he’s ready to bring that same passion and dedication to Newport News!
